Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the Southeast measured $3.2 trillion in 2010, 22 percent of the U.S. If the Southeast were a country it would have the 5th highest GDP in the world, larger than the GDP of all but four countries: United States, China, Japan and Germany. Metro Atlanta is one of the fastest growing metros in the U.S. and has the 10th largest GDP in the U.S.
